Submissions

WAVES Trust regularly makes submissions to local and national government on matters of interest to the family violence and sexual violence sectors.

We produce submissions in consultation with services in the WAVES network, other community organisations and individuals in Waitakere, and in conversation with other networks, organisations, and groups around Auckland and across New Zealand.

Our submissions advocate for changes that will support family violence and sexual violence services to better meet the needs of their clients.

The 'Submissions in Process' menu to the left lists all the submissions we are currently working on.

Each submission has its own page that you can access by clicking on its title.  You will see on the webpage:

  • a summary of what the submission is all about and when it is due
  • links to public documents about the submission process (e.g. Bills and Review documents)
  • links to publicly accessible information, websites, and literature of relevance to the family violence sector
  • notices of upcoming submission-building events and consultations for WAVES and other organisations
  • WAVES Trust's draft submissions when these are available
  • a 'Contact Us' box that will allow you to communicate with us

Feel free to use these pages to participate in our submission consultations or to gather information for your own submission.

For advice on making your own submissions see what Parliamentary Services says here.
