Why do children need family violence services?

Living with violence and psychological abuse at home is very traumatic for children. 

It can harm children and negatively impact their development, even if they are not directly the target of abuse.  Read more.

The Domestic Violence Act states that exposing children to violence constitutes psychological abuse and research suggests that witnessing violence at home can be as harmful as direct physical abuse.
