Child Matters is New Zealand’s specialist child protection education and advocacy organisation. The purpose of the New Zealand Diploma in Child Protection is to provide Aotearoa New Zealand with graduates who can protect and advocate for children.

The Diploma is made up of:

  • Six 1-Week Blocks (Mon-Fri) - compulsory classroom sessions
  • Eight practical assignments –self guided tuition

The course fees per student are $1100.00 excluding GST . You may contact Studylink for a student loan.

Ideally, you would have completed our 5-Day Programme in Child Protection Studies. However, if you haven’t had a chance to, we do recognise prior learning (this should be included in your CV). If you would like to complete the 5-Day Programme before 2018, we do have some spaces available in Hamilton (11th-15th December 2017)
